Favorite Beauty Products: Recent Finds

Beauty buys

Throughout the pandemic, I played around with new (to me) brands and beauty products in the hopes of finding a solid routine that leaves me looking and feeling refreshed but with a minimal time stamp. Here are a few of my recent favorite beauty finds!

Stila Correct & Perfect All-In-One Color Correcting Palette

This palette is so easy to use and has five color-correcting creams (peach, pink, orange, yellow, and green) and two translucent finishing powders (lavender and yellow). The creams offer buildable coverage that is long-wearing to combat redness, fatigue, dark undereye circles, and SO much more! Plus, it comes with a handy little guide to help you master your application. Win, win!

Honest Beauty Luminizing Glow Powder

This powder adds a nice glowy finish without being overly shiny. Plus, in a pinch, it also works well as an eyeshadow base if you have fair skin!

Kristin Ess The One Signature Shampoo & Conditioner + Kristin Ess The One Purple Shampoo & Conditioner

I dye my hair frequently so I was on the hunt for a shampoo and conditioner that was sulfate-free and gentle enough for daily use. I saw this brand making the influencer rounds so I was hesitant at first, but after using it for a week I was hooked. I LOVE the smell and it leaves my hair soft and manageable.

I use the purple shampoo and conditioner once to twice a week depending on the season to keep brassiness away as I am blonde.

Kristin Ess Ultra Hydrating Curl Leave-In Cream

With an overwhelming victory with the shampoos and conditioners, I figured I would also give her styling products a go, and, once again, I was pleasantly surprised! I adore this cream– I simply spray it on and comb my hair just before blow-drying. It helps control flyaways and adds a nice sheen- I highly recommend if you have thick hair that curls on its own or use a curling iron daily.

Revolution Skincare 2% Hyaluronic Acid Plumping and Hydrating Serum

I use this serum every morning, right before I apply my foundation, to create a silky base, and at night as a base for cream, in the winter. It goes on super smooth, dries quickly, and leaves my face feeling hydrated and clear. Plus, it’s only $10!

St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Mini Starter Kit

I never know how a sunless tanner is going to work with my skin, no matter what it claims, so I always opt for the smallest bottle to try it out, so I decided to try this kit after reading good reviews about it.

The kit includes a tanning mitt, the St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse, and the  St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist. While the mousse goes on easy and pretty evenly, it doesn’t add the amount of ‘sun’ I would like.

For me, the face mist is the winning product. All you have to do is spray it on, let it dry- which takes minimal time- and color blossoms after six hours. It smells good and is so easy to use! You don’t have to rub it in or worry about it coming off on your clothes- it’s almost foolproof. When this bottle runs out, I plan to invest in the full size!
