Chic Inspiration: Entertaining Outdoors

Cin Cin

With temperatures warming (finally) and the installation of our Bright Cover (also, finally!), I am looking forward to spending more and more time outdoors. Once we have the deck set up, we plan to host a few close friends and family for dinner at alfresco.

In preparation for this, I’ve scoured the ‘net for inspiration, curating this list of tips and ideas we’ll be enlisting for effortless entertaining.

Take a Seat

With the addition of our deck cover, we wanted to invest in comfortable seating that we can spend time entertaining and lounging on, so we invested in the Better Homes & Gardens Brookbury 5-Piece Patio Wicker Sectional Set in Gray.

It’s a large piece but it seats six with the inclusion of the ottomans, which will make it great for small get-togethers or with a group of kids. We can easily eat at the table or swap in our firepit for a round of smores.

Tableware to Share

I love these tumblers we recently bought at Target, and will eventually update our outdoor tableware taking cues from this great curated list by Good Housekeeping. The Williams Sonoma Rustic Outdoor Melamine 12-Piece Dinnerware Set is the top choice, but I find the Kate Spade New York Citrus Twist Melamine Dinnerware Collection charming too.

Chic Updates

To create a comfy space, I want to add a few new toss pillows, these adorable rattan lanterns which will add a nice glow in the evening, and update my planters with these white ceramic ones that are available in a few sizes.

My top outdoor picks

Cin Cin!

To toast our new space and be ready for impromptu get-togethers, I am going to scour this list of rosé wines for a few to keep chilled. Top picks include Josh Cellars Prosecco Rosé and Wolffer Estate Summer In A Bottle Rosé. Cheers!
