Memorial Day Weekend Events in Myrtle Beach

If you’re in the Myrtle Beach area over Memorial Day weekend and are looking for a way to honor those who have given their lives serving our country, there are a variety of activities and events happening around the Grand Strand throughout the weekend.

In Myrtle Beach, the Military Appreciation Days Parade will kick off at Market Common at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 26th.  US Army Reserve Captain and 2016 Miss USA, Deshauna Barber, will serve as the 2018 Grand Marshal for the parade that will travel along Howard Avenue and Farrow Parkway.

On Monday, May 28th, the Veterans March will begin at 9 a.m. on Ocean Boulevard in Myrtle Beach, followed by a Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center at 11 a.m. The ceremony in honor of the day will feature speakers, an honor guard salute, and the Missing Man Table.

If you’re in Surfside Beach, they will be holding their annual Memorial Day Golf Cart Parade on Sunday, May 27th, from 1 to 2 p.m. on Ocean Boulevard, followed by a Memorial Day Cookout from 4 to 7 p.m. on Surfside Drive.

On Monday, May 28th, join the town of Surfside Beach in honoring the day at Veterans Memorial for their Memorial Day Service at 2:30 p.m.
