It’s been a while since I’ve visited Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, but on our last girls night’s out, we decided to check out Lucy Buffet’s Lulu’s, one of the newest additions to the complex.
Lucy Buffet’s Lulu’s, North Myrtle Beach
The week we visited Lulu’s it was its second week in operation and in some minor ways you could tell. While it was busy- just us two girls would have had a 3-hour wait had we waited to be seated!- we opted to try our hand at the bar and lucked out.
Some background: Lucy Buffet is the ‘Crazy Sista’ to Jimmy Buffet, and this is the third location of her popular eatery with two other restaurants in Gulf Shores, AL, and Destin, FL.
With two spots occupied at the hopping bar, we ordered drinks and set about to reviewing the menu, which is what makes this place stand out. Along with a great menu full of salads, seafood, steaks, sandwiches, and more, Lulu’s also offers gluten-free, shellfish free, seafood free, egg-free, soy free, and dairy free menus, which is fantastic for anyone with an allergy that has to question what they’re about to order.
The manager on duty that night told us that when someone orders from an alternative menu, they have to personally take and deliver the order to ensure its correct. My friend who has a gluten allergy ordered the Jerk Chicken Sandwich from the gluten-free menu and said it was delicious.
I opted for the Crab Melt Sandwich from the regular menu, and overall, we had a great dining experience!
Lulu’s is also very kid friendly, with a great menu of kids dining options AND a large sand play area brimming with Adirondack chairs, a serene waterway view, sand toys, and a ‘Fountain for Youth’! Adults will also enjoy an evening at Lulu’s as they have a great drink selection and live nightly music from 6-10 p.m.!
